Wacced Out History
We can't leave now
Last year after the swearing in of the pedo king, our household had very serious discussions about plans to leave the country. Then after a conversation with someone about how their family started their planning as well. Something hit me, the audacity of claiming what is rightfully mine. This country.
My bloodline built this country and I’ll be damn if I am leaving the land of my ancestors. We are Americans, go ahead travel or talk to someone from a different country and they will quickly say oh you are from America. We belong here, not Africa, Europe, South America, Asia or even Canada; we belong right where we are. These white folk got us fucked up thinking about leaving.
What do you think is going to happen when you leave? Do you really think you are going to escape to somewhere that will not be impacted by the fall of the American Empire? Europe is boosting up their military as we speak. The white countries are scared so what does that mean for the rest of the world. Ghana has built detention centers to cooperate with the US. Cuba is getting decimated by US sanctions right now and a South American president has been illegally kidnapped by the US government. Where are you gonna go nigga?
The other reason we can’t leave is that if we leave our ancestors and eventually our history in this country will be wiped from existence. That doesn’t sit well with me.
The erasing of our history has escalated since the introduction of critical race theory and Juneteenth becoming a national holiday. Between the years 2021 and 2022, 241 measures to restrict the teaching of race were passed. In 2025 the current administration started dismantling Black history in museums, national parks, parks in general and restricted funding to sites dedicated to Black history.
If we leave its up. Our kids will be the last niggas. After that slowly our entire history gets wiped out. They become Black people in some other country and their grandparents moved there for a better life, but will it be better or different? Why was it so bad from where they came from? They will be left with whatever bullshit America offers up. We couldn’t fit in, too dumb, too lazy, etc. Then another generation passes. The history will be gone forever, no more stories of our amazing ancestors will exist.
Truth be told running might buy us a few more good years. Eventually something will catch up to us and most likely it will be America or some form of hatred towards Black American immigrants. Our ancestors deserve better than us throwing it all away for a little getaway.
We were born to claim what our ancestors could not and work to give a future beyond our wildest dreams. This is bigger than us. It’s about our entire bloodline; past and future.
I would like to formally announce that my ass will be dying here.

I feel this and it made me think of my grandfather. He used to work for the electric company. They refused to promote him so he sued them, won, and kept working there. I want this energy for all of us.
You know, this article makes a great point about the effects of abandonment of leaving people behind that I didn't consider. Probably because leaving is an individual choice but not considering those left behind is a reason to pause. How much worse will it get for those who stay if there was a "mass Black exodus"? What about those who cannot afford to leave? I understand why folks want to leave this country though, what reason has it given people who want better or deserve better to stay? But, I also see why people are willing to sacrifice to keep and maintain what's rightfully theirs.
