I feel this and it made me think of my grandfather. He used to work for the electric company. They refused to promote him so he sued them, won, and kept working there. I want this energy for all of us.
You know, this article makes a great point about the effects of abandonment of leaving people behind that I didn't consider. Probably because leaving is an individual choice but not considering those left behind is a reason to pause. How much worse will it get for those who stay if there was a "mass Black exodus"? What about those who cannot afford to leave? I understand why folks want to leave this country though, what reason has it given people who want better or deserve better to stay? But, I also see why people are willing to sacrifice to keep and maintain what's rightfully theirs.
I understand wanting to leave and if you are in immediate danger of becoming a political prisoner etc. leave 1000 percent. I work with someone in England who is trying to move away from there and another person who was just in Mexico and shocked by the racism towards Black people.
I am really just trying to say think about this decisions because it’ll affect everyone like you said and viewing immigrant/refugee life as glamorous is delusional. I can promise you mass Black immigration will not be welcomed by any country.

May we all have your grandfather’s mindset. We getting what’s ours! 😤

"Black immigration will not welcomed by any country".
We're definitely seeing examples of this daily on a global scale.
Wow! What I love about this is that I feel every word that you say . . . despite me feeling differently.
This is key! I validate your reasoning. I witness it. I understand it. Your view can co-exist with my view - they don't cancel each other out.
This is the type of healthy dialogue that I pray for daily . . .
